l have always had a facination for the moon. As a teenager l remember standing in our back garden at dusk and looking to see the smallest possible crescent appear after the new moon. Even then it had a magical appearance, especially when the planet Venus was in attendance. The first two or three days after New Moon is my favourite time in the moon’s phase. The beauty of a thin crescent moon against a slowly darkening, clear blue sky never fails to stir me, and seems to transport me back to a time almost beyond time, to a magical half forgotten place that rests on the edge of memory. l love looking at the moon in all it’s phases, but no other phase affects me quite like this one. As a magical moment, it has to be one of my all time favourites.

?Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am l to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented or fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from uor own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.? Marianne Williamson from A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of a “Course in Miracles”

IF

If you think you are beaten, you are
lf you think you dare not, you don’t
lf you’d like to win, but think you can’t
lt’s almost certain you won’t.
lf you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellows will -
lt’s all in the state of mind.
lf you think you’re outclassed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man
But sooner or later the man who wins
ls the one who thinks he can.

CELTIC INVOCATION

l call upon the four winds
Earth to ground me
Air to teach me
Fire to empower me
Water to uplift me
l honour Grandmother Earth who bore me
Grandfather Sky who watches over me
And Great Spirit whose spark
ls within me, and all things.

DAGARA PRAYER

May our ancestors
Breathe Blessings onto us
For our eyes to open
And our life purpose?
To become clear.

The world as we know it is changing, and the old parameters that stood for so long are now beginning to break down and shatter into six billion pieces. Each piece holds the key to a new world within each one, and the lock is the same for all. There is one doorway to freedom which when opened, will enable each and every one of us to discover our true heritage as parts of a whole, all connected together on a journey of self discovery going back to a place we never really left, our divinity.

Self discovery means going within and starts with the realisation that we are all responsible for our own lives. However much that? life may seem to be controlled by others it is only an illusion to keep us unaware of our own potential. We all have the capability to break free from the shackles that appear to bind us, because they exist only in our minds. Real freedom begins as a thought and grows into a world free of chains where everyone is a part of the same team. Lets work together to be the best we can possibly be, and create a world where we travel the road to freedom as one people with one destination.

The 28th of August was the day of the full moon and also an eclipse of the moon, and this was the reason l chose this day to do a rescue of the souls who had lost their lives to the sea around the area of the North West of England, to utilise the special energy that only the Moon Goddess can conjure up on such a day. About 20 people turned up for this ceremony and we were greeted by an almost perfect evening weather-wise. A light breeze blew across the beach and the clouds all disappeared to reveal lots of stars after the Sun set, and the Moon could only be seen initially by climbing the sand dune behind us.

For the first hour or so preparations were made for the ceremony by lighting a small fire which we intended to use as the doorway to the Spirit world, and placing lots of small candles in jars in a line down the beach from the fire towards the waters edge. This was so the Spirits who came out of the sea would have a path to follow to lead them to the doorway and home. A few people brought drums with them and these were played to signal our intent.

The rescue began about 9.30pm. with the fire being built up and two tall candlesticks placed one either side to frame the doorway. As we called in our Guides and Helpers and Angels, Davy Jones was told he better be opening his locker as we were ready and waiting to send his prisoners home. The atmosphere around the fire became very heavy with emotion as the Spirits started to appear from the darkness of the sea and walk up the beach. Someone saw sailors as from an old galleon type ship, and someone else saw six men marching towards us all in a line with a more modern type of uniform. A few orbs were seen at the time, but after looking through the photo’s the day after they were filled with them.

Dark shadows could be seen moving towards us along the line of lights, and the waters edge looked like it had fairy lights strung along it as the Spirits continued to appear from the sea which had been their captive for many long years for some. Then as if by some silent command two things happened together, the heavy atmosphere lifted and the Moon appeared above the sand dune behind us, bathing everything in her silver light as if to tell us that the ceremony was almost over and she was well pleased with the result.

This was a beautiful evening to be a part of, and in a way even more special than the one at the Shawes Arms because of the setting and the fire and the Moon and the release of emotion we all felt as the souls were freed from their watery graves and allowed to go back home to the Spirit world and their loved ones.

Once again l would like to thank everyone who attended, we all took part in a wonderful ceremony which l know that l personally will remember for a very long time.

The reason l chose this night was to coincide with the Battle of Preston which took place on the very same day back in 1648, and about One Thousand men fell not more than Sixty yards away from the Shawes Arms. I thought that it would be so good to be able to release any souls who were still earthbound from that day and send them back home to the Spirit world where they can be free.

A few days before l made a Medicine Wheel with two of my friends Bev and Denny, on the bank of the River Ribble where the original bridge stood, and did a ceremony to bless the land. We also built a small cairn to remember those who died, with a plaque kindly donated by McKenna Funerals, Preston. The Lancashire Evening Post also came and took photo?s of us doing our stuff.

Paul and Jo at the pub kindly gave us it for free that night as did all the four Mediums who worked, Karen, Sylvia, Carole and Willow, a raffle was held and altogether we raised the grand total of ?400, which is to be given to the R.N.L.I.

The room where we held the rescue had double doors which opened out towards the river, and we used the wall opposite these doors as the doorway to the Spirit world, framed by candles. When we started the ceremony, it felt like a lot of spirits went through the door in the first five minutes or so, and a few people said they saw men on horseback walking through the room. The area close to the Spirit door became very cold, and several people came and said they could definitely feel the change in temperature.

There were many cameras being used and great excitement was caused by the appearance of orbs of various colours showing themselves on the pictures being taken. The people in the room, about thirty or so, had made a corridor from the outside doors leading to the Spirit door for the spirits to move through, and it was in this space that all the spirit activity was occurring. There were many people present who knew nothing about what was taking place, but felt a pull to be there on that night, and some said afterwards that they thought the experience was different to what they had imagined, and they actually either saw or felt something they didn’t expect to.

A lot of earthbound Spirits went home that night 359 years after they had actually died, and all who were present felt that something really special had taken place, even if some of them weren’t actually sure what that something was. The area around where we worked that night can only benefit for what we did, and it will feel lighter with a definite raise in the vibration of the whole of the battle site. Other earthbound Spirits not connected to the battle also went home too, as the energy that was produced brought them in as well. Overall it was a very successful evening all round, and everyone connected with it felt that we had achieved everything we had set out to do, and l offer my many thanks to everyone who attended.
